This piece was inspired by graffiti, music, sport (and of course trainers/sneakers), mixed with my retro cartoon neon influence. Londoners will know that cheeky tube, because we have all been packed inside like sardines at some point 🤣
There were some challenging moments on the stairs, having to swap between ladders and moving awkward scaffolding for each section (and again for each layer). Not to mention the skylights banging into the back of my head. I dont think I would have finished in the time, if it wasnt for having the support of my assistant Bernard, who come up with creative ways to solve some challenges that cropped up. We actually thought we'd smash it out in 2/3 days ha!
After a week worth of day and night shifts I'm proud of the final results and I'm over the moon to have artwork on the storefront, inside stratford Westfield. Special thanks to @streetartatlas who captured all of these shots 📷
